The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX was produced between 2005 and 2007. The Evolution IX model was replaced by the new Evolution X. No matter which Evo model you buy, if you're a fan of the Mitsubishi brand, you will be quite satisfied. Currently, Mitsubishi Evolution has some of the most powerful engines available in the USA. Some of the proposed models engines have 280 horsepower.

The car comes with a six speed manual transmission as a baseline standard. All Wheel Drive delivers great traction for the vehicle. The Lancer Evolution IX has revised suspension, making it the most exciting Evo ever produced.

Furthermore, the ride comfort is not bad at all by rally car standards. The car is responsive and precise with steering controls that are well designed. However, most of the soundproofing is sacrificed to save on vehicle weight. The noises from the engine and exhaust system are quite apparent along with wind and road noises.

The base engine is not very economical. However, The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a cult car that keeps its value. You can be sure that the engines are reliable if you get them serviced consistently.

Inside the Evolution, decorative fabrics and plastics give an impressive look. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution has an excellent driving position. The seats are very comfortable. A real pleasure when you hold the wheel of the car. Even though the car was built for racing, it is sufficiently spacious and practical.

There could be more shoulder room for front seat passengers, but there is plenty of room for the head and feet to compensate. Four adults can be accommodated comfortably. The trunk of a car provides a sufficient amount of storage. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX comes with adequate safety equipment, even on models with standard equipment levels.

A hi-tech system for all-wheel drive adds active safety when driving. The Evo comes standard with anti-lock brakes and traction control. An alarm is included in the list of standard equipment, but parking sensors (Parktronic) are not included. For the first time, Mitsubishi installed air conditioning in the Evolution.

It also comes with alloy wheels and a CD player. Top range model have leather seats and satellite navigation. A great advantage to the Evolution, is that it has impressive performance and plenty of grip. Moreover, it is reasonable and practical. Therefore, this car achieves cult status and maintains a good value. The disadvantages include the expensiveness of the car and the constant maintenance required.
