The Citroen C4 has been in production since 2004. The car is offered with four petrol and three diesel engines. The base gasoline engine produces 90 horsepower. 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines are well designed by the engineers at Citroen. For fans of diesel, the brand offers a 2.0-liter engine with decent performance and fuel economy.

Also, the Citroen C4 is available with a 2.0-liter petrol engine delivering 180 horsepower, intended for big fans of the hatchback. Unlike previous models of Citroen, C4 has solid suspension. Options for control of the body and the steering wheel are very good. Citroen C4 is well designed and well insulated from wind noise.

Most of the available engines for this model are quiet. The C4 is a well equipped car, and running costs are reasonable. The resale value of this car drops to about 50 percent after three years. Inside the C4, everything looks really good. Unfortunately, Citroen has a bad reputation for it's quality of production, but have been making improvements with each passing year.

However, Citroen is famous for producing many innovative cars, and inside the C4, you will find many convenient features. Although, the number of LCD screens in the car can be confusing. Vehicles with three or five doors provide the same passenger space. Unfortunately, the beautiful design of the C4 leads to limited height and visibility out of the rear of the car.

The rear seats will not accommodate taller passengers very well. The trunk is a reasonable size. The C4 is generous in terms of safety features. Each model comes with a full set of six airbags and electronic driving aids. There is even an option for a warning system that alerts you if you start to drift out of your lane. Inside the car there are many decorative elements that convey an elegant look.

Citroen C1

The Citroen C1 has been in production since 2005. There is a choice of a 1.4-liter diesel engine or 1.0-liter gasoline engine. The car is pretty good and easy to drive around town. Both petrol and diesel Citroen C1 cars have a five-speed gearbox. Moreover, both engines offer great fuel economy. For those looking for the best performance, though, the 1.0-liter petrol engine is a better option.

The Citroen C1 is a very solid ride. In fact, the suspension is too hard for a car that will primarily be driven around town. Wind noise is present, but it does not make you feel uncomfortable. The small motors are also slightly noisy, but it makes this type of car attractive and sporty. The sound of the exhaust system is felt more in motion with higher speeds on the highway.

The Citroen C1 is offered for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, resale value of this car will be low. Given that the C1 has been developed by Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 107 mechanics, it should be very reliable. The body of C1 is well developed. It is attractive, aside from some of the interior plastic components that look a little like cheap manufactured materials. There is also plenty of space in the cab.

The steering wheel is adjustable only in height, but it is easy to find a comfortable driving position. Forward visibility is good but the rear visibility is slightly reduced by the column of the neck. Four adults can easily fit into a Citroen C1. Unfortunately, the trunk is very small. The only way to bring extra luggage is to fold the rear seats. The standard safety equipment has two front airbags, while the higher models come equipped with two side airbags.

The Citroen C1 includes intelligent anti-lock brakes, designed to keep the car stable when you press the brake pedal. Air conditioning is available as an option for Rhythm. Production of the C1 is still ongoing.
