Renault has presented an even hotter version of the Megane RS, called the Renault Megane RS Trophy Edition, and it provides unmatched efficiency and speed for its class. The increase in power does not affect the vehicle's flexibility and comfort, and the company has planned to produce five hundred Renault Megane RS Trophy cars altogether. With a maximum power of 265 hp, a maximum torque of 360 Nm is available in the very wide range of 3000 to 5000 rpm.

Performance has been enhanced in the process of designing this car, and the result is a 0 to 100 kph time of just 6.0 seconds (down 0.1 seconds), a top speed of 254 kph (up 4 kph) and the 100 km standing start in 25.4 seconds (down 0.3 seconds). Beyond these statistics, however, the experience of driving Renault Mégane RS Trophy is a constant source of enjoyment with many satisfying sensations. In addition to the finely-tuned set-up of the Cup chassis and the standard limited slip differential, a new tyre fitment contributes to the car's exceptional road-holding on dry roads, especially through tighter turns, as well as in the wet.

The design of the Formula 1 inspired Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's asymmetric, directional tread pattern and the form of its tread blocks provide outstanding grip, stability and acoustic comfort, whatever the conditions. Last but not least, Renault Mégane RS Trophy's fuel-efficiency has been carefully optimised to return combined-cycle fuel consumption of just 8.2 litres/100 km, equivalent to 190g of CO2/km, which represents a saving of 0.2 litres/100 km and 5g/km over Renault Mégane RS at the time of the latter's launch.

Inside, the Recaro bucket seats (fabric or leather, depending on market) add to the cabin's unmistakably sporty feel, as does the central display which shows the data provided by the R.S. Monitor. This innovative on-board data-logging system records performance and displays a range of mechanical parameters in real-time, a feature which owners will especially appreciate during track days, an exercise to which the Renault Mégane RS Trophy lends itself particularly well. Indeed, the car will be on show at the Renault Sport Day which forms part of the Renault Sport Enthusiasts Day programme at the Nürburgring, Germany, on June 17, 2011.

This represents a saving of 0.2 litres per 100 kilometers and 5 grams per kilometer in comparison with the presentation of the last Megane RS. The Renault Megane RS Trophy can be recognised at a glance, thanks to the black roof, specific decals, new rear spoiler, 19-inch black wheels with glossy red ring around the board, and RS caps. LED daytime running lights also play an important role in the striking design of the car.

Renault Megane RS Trophy has the introduced new, iconic, yellow metallic paint. The new vehicle will be especially appreciated by fans of the Renault Sport. Via www.findspares.co.za you can find and buy all the parts for your Renault, quick and easy to save your money.
