Opel Achieved 31 Percent Growth in EU

The Opel Astra, Opel Corsa and Insignia are cited as the main "culprits" for the wonderful market performance Opel has seen in the last year.

Sales of cars Opel in our country for the first half of 2011 showed an increase of 31%, which ranks them in the highest position in sales of new cars and commercials in EU overall.

Opel reached nearly 6 percent of total vehicle sales in the month of May 2011, and for the period from January to May this year it was moving about 5.5%. If we compare the data on car sales for the same period in 2010 we will see that there is growth in sales of Opel by about 0.35% altogether.

The German conglomerate Opel undoubtedly owes this success to three of its car models. The Astra, Corsa, and Insignia. Statistics say that sales of these cars TEI model have achieved growth of nearly 80% compared to the German car sales in Bulgaria for the same period last year.

The total share of the auto market Opel achieved a growth of 0.5% for the period May 2010 - May 2011 (from 5.8% to 6.3%). In the first five months of this year, the German brand sold a total of 534,000 cars in Europe, putting it 27th in the automotive market, rising four ranks in the end.
