Automobile Lamborghini SpA, is called as Lamborghini, designs, engineers, manufactures and distributes Italian premium sports cars. Lamborghini's manufacturing plant and headquarters are based in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. Lamborghini was founded by Ferruccio Lamborghini, in 1963. The company has existed in earlier years under the name Lamborghini Trattori SpA, which is engaged in production of tractors and agricultural equipment. The first model cars were created in the early 60s. They were known for their refinement, power and comfort.

Lamborghini is very famous for its sports coupe Miura, in 1966. After a decade of rapid growth, hard times are coming for the company in the mid-70s, and sales are affected by the global financial crisis and oil. In 1987, the company falls under the umbrella of the corporate giant Chrysler Corporation. The American company was failed to return the reputation and profitability of the automotive brand and sells Lamborghini Indonesian company in 1994.

The lack of success of Lamborghini continues in the 90 years until the company was sold to Audi in 1998, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group. Audi's ownership spotted the beginning of a period of more stability and increased productivity for Lamborghini. After increasing sales almost tenfold in 2000, reaching record sales in 2007 and 2008.

About 3,000 cars roll off the production line in Sant'Agata - Bolognese, every year. The company currently offers two versions of the model Gallardo, coupe and roadster powered by a V10. Leading a V12 Murcielago coupe and roadster were discontinued at the end of 2010 and replaced by his successor, Lamborghini Aventador in 2011. U.S, Germany, UK and Japan are most important markets for Lamborghini sports cars.

Lamborghini exhibited the Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale LP 570–4 at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. In 2012, Lamborghini launched the Sesto Elemento for track use only.
